In the past, we’ve shared many instances of luxury clothing items that resemble everyday items but with ridiculous prices, including the ‘pothole’ t-shirt and the ‘tape’ bracelet by Balenciaga.

Now, luxury footwear being sold in Saudi Arabia have gone viral globally for looking exactly like bathroom slippers, or as we Malaysians call them, Selipar Jepun.

We’ve been wearing luxury sandals to the toilet all this while!

In the comments, many people from all over the globe mocked the sandals, saying that they’ve been using them to go to the toilet.

A few commenters from India said that they call the sandals “Hawaii Chapal” and are only used to go to the toilet.

Meanwhile, another commenter joked that these sandals are not meant for wearing but instead used by mothers to throw at their children when they misbehave.
