With the heatwave hitting Thailand, temperatures were reported to be hitting 38°C!

It would not be too much of a big deal for most people because we can just turn on the air-conditioner and enjoy the cooling air indoors.

But it’s sad for stray cats and dogs as they have nowhere to hide, and their poor little paws are exposed to scorching heat on the ground. Some of you may not be aware of this: according to Star2, hot grounds or pavements can cause burns to dogs’ footpads. Although the damage isn’t visible, it sure does hurt a lot.

Luckily, 7-Eleven and other convenience stores in Thailand are dog-friendly. A lot of them leave their doors open for the strays to enjoy some refreshing air coming from the shop. Some staff are even kind enough to welcome the strays inside. How nice!

And also, a catto.

How do you tell if the ground is too hot for your dogs? According to Dog Time, try placing the back of your hand on the pavement or sidewalks, and if you’re unable to tahan for 5 seconds, it means it’s too hot for your dogs to walk on. Take note, guys, make sure that your precious pets avoid accidental injury!

It’s super heartwarming to see Thailand convenience stores being so kind to the dogs! What kind acts towards strays have you seen before? Share them in the comments!
