Not too long ago, Pi Pa Gao ice cream in Singapore became a hit on social media as many found it bizarre to combine a cough-inducing dessert with a cough remedy in one delicious treat. This has gained a lot of Malaysians’ attention as Pi Pa Gao is one of the tastiest cough syrup during our childhood, which is why we’re happy to tell you that this ice cream flavour is already available in Malaysia!

Launched by Ice Cream Cafe in Kota Kinabalu just five days ago (29 March), this Pi Pa Gao Gelato has become one of the bestsellers in the shop! Intrigued by the unique flavour, a huge crowd has been flooding the cafe and they ran out of tubs of ice cream in no time!

When it comes to the number of servings, the owner cheekily suggested that adults should eat one scoop per serving, three times a day while kids should go easy and start with one small scoop per serving, three times per day as well. If symptoms persist, come back for more?

Besides ice cream, this cafe also sells homemade desserts, waffles, gelato, sandwiches, toast, and coffee, all of which are free from colouring and preservatives. Well, one question that’s now on our mind is: Since the ice cream is made of Pi Pa Gao cough syrup, does this mean the ice cream can relieve cough? We’ll leave that question to medical experts, but what we really want to do now is to get our hands on those Pi Pa Gao gelato!

Here are the details of the cafe if you want to challenge your taste buds.

Address: Lot 11 First Floor, Lido Plaza, Jalan Kampung Kobusak, 88300 Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
Operating hours: 12pm to 11pm
