Thailand has lifted restrictions on the entry of tourists from 56 countries in an effort to revive the country’s tourism sector following the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, tourists who are allowed to enter the country must undergo a quarantine process at the place provided for two weeks as a precautionary measure against coronavirus infections.
As reported Reuters, tourists from Australia, France and the United States (US) can enter the country without a visa, but they must prove they are free of infection for at least 72 hours before the flight.
Thai Covid-19 prevention team spokesman Taweesin Wisanuyothin said that all tourists will be quarantined upon arrival and the visa period would be extended to 45 days compared to the usual 30 days.
