About 2 weeks ago, it was reported that the Cheerleading Association and Register of Malaysia – CHARM cheerleading squad will be representing Malaysia in the International Cheer Union World Junior Cheerleading Championships (ICU JWCC) 2024 in Florida, United States.
For this, they were allocated RM80,000 from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS).
Youth and Sports Minister, Hannah Yeoh, recently took to her Facebook page to congratulate the Malaysian squad for their amazing efforts as they have won a GOLD MEDAL at the tournament!
“Remember our cheerleaders that we recently sent off? They won! Congratulations to Team Malaysia Youth All Girls for emerging Champions at the club-level International Cheerleading Cup (ICC) 2024 in Florida, USA!”
“When we continue to encourage and support our athletes, the results will come! So proud of you girls. Believe in yourself, train hard and celebrate,” she shared.
Just days before their big win, they also managed to bag a bronze medal at the tournament.
