Following the announcement of the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2022 results last month, now it’s time for their seniors, the Sijil Pelajaran Tinggi Persokalan Malaysia (STPM) 2022 candidates to know how they fared.

Well, for most of them, it was good news as when the Malaysian Examination Council (MPM) announced the STPM 2022 results earlier today, it marked a significant improvement compared to previous years.

In fact, the National Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) is the highest since the STPM exam was implemented!

In the announcement, MPM chairman Prof Datuk Dr Mohd Ekhwan Toriman said that the National CGPA for STPM 2022 is 2.82. For comparison, the National CGPA for STPM 2021 was 2.79.

Furthermore, 1,184 STPM 2022 candidates obtained the perfect score of CGPA 4.00. Again, it was better compared to last year, which recorded 874 perfect score candidates.

Out of the 1,184 candidates who obtained 4.00, 1,009 or 85.22% of them are from the B40 category.

MPM previously revealed that a total of 41,701 candidates sat for the STPM exam last year, with the help of 4,688 invigilators.
