Sexual harassment is NO JOKE, even when it happens between the same gender. Unfortunately, men, too, are exposed to a similar kind of danger today.
Just recently, X page @MALAYSIAVIRALLL shared a clip of a Malaysian man who confronted a foreigner at the market, who allegedly has been sending him inappropriate pictures.
“You mess with the wrong man and you invited the wrong person to have sex! This is sexual harassment!”
In the viral clip, the man confronted the other person with a stick pointed at his face, saying,
“If you send me the pictures of your balls again, I’ll break your face!”
The foreigner acknowledged his wrongdoings, apologised to the man, and walked away immediately. As he walked away, the man continued to vent his anger.
“Just because I am a softie, you think I would do those things with you? I’ll step on your face and break it!”
In the comment section, a man who claimed to be the victim who also works at the market claimed that he had lodged a report about the matter. He also took the opportunity to clarify about his personality.
“Yes, I may be a bit soft but that doesn’t mean I’m okay with being harassed like this!”
Unfortunately, many netizens made fun of the situation, and other considerate and thoughtful netizens voiced out against the matter, saying that nothing was funny about it and that it could happen to anyone at any time.
“I’m not surprised with the rising cases of sexual harassment. Just look at the insensitive comments. The ignorance will only lead the foreigner to cause more harassment on other women. Don’t be stupid.”
“Stupid comments. As if you’ll say yes to harassment if the face looks good. Those who say the victim would be okay if the perpetrator looks good are stupid, and it pisses me off.”
“What’s with the comments? It doesn’t happen to you, so you’re free to say anything. There is a lot of foreigners who do this. Not all, but the majority of them.”
“My husband was a victim of his Nepalese colleague. My husband punched him in the face and everyone in the workplace found out that my husband was touched all over.”
Sexual harassment knows no gender. If you happen to be a victim, reach out to the police or someone you trust.
