Picture this; a bunch of guys with neon mohawks, studded leather jackets, ripped skinny jeans and some military surplus boots. What’s your honest impression of them?
Probably some no-good kids going nowhere in life, right? Well maybe this story from Singapore would change your thoughts of these ‘punks’.
Muhd Hanis and his ragtag bunch of misfits recently took to Facebook to share about their second visit to PERTAPIS Children’s Home in Kovan Road, Singapore to donate to the home.
They donated a month’s worth of dry food and condiments. Some of what they donated includes cartons of boxed Milo, some Twisties and what appears to be canned foodstuffs as well.
What’s more this is not their first time doing this good deed.
“The kids greeted us with bright smiles and warm hugs. We are extremely happy when some of them recognized us from our previous visit and they made us promise to come back.”
The gleeful looks from the kids present paints a beautiful picture. The punks spent quality time with the kids, interacting and horsing around with them.
“We got a chance to interact with the kids who stay there and learn a bit more about them through intimate conversations.”
“Despite a tough childhood, not a single child was lamenting their fate. They greeted us with bright smiles and warm hugs.”
“We are extremely happy when some of them recognized us from our previous visit and they made us promise to come back.”

One thing’s for certain, these guys rock! It’s honestly touching to see people who would still go out of their way to help others out. They even inspired other people to help out with netizens expressing their interest to join in and asking how they could also contribute.
Muhd Yunos ended his Facebook post saying this;
“Sometimes we overlook what we have over the things that we want. It is a wonder how someone who has less, could be a lot happier than those who have more.”
Any local punk rockers want to join me in a Malaysian chapter?
