Get ready for the biggest water fight of your life at the return of Songkran Festival 2025! If you missed last year’s edition, here’s your chance to finally see what the hype is all about, especially when entry is FREE.

Running from 10–20 April, Songkran Festival 2025 will take place at GF Forecourt Open Carpark, 1 Utama with loads of water fun, authentic Thai delicacies, and live Thai music performances.

Here’s what you can expect from Malaysia’s biggest Songkran Festival:

1. Prepare for splashes of good fun

Esn9542

From 5PM onwards daily, gear up for exhilarating water battles at the open-air car park of 1 Utama. Bring along your friends, family and water guns for a splashing good time with other Malaysians — a fire truck will be there too to turn up the fun!

Esn9210

Don’t have a water gun? Fret not, there will be more than a few on-site vendors whom you can gear up with — but beware, we got word that the water guns that’ll be sold there are HUGE! 👀

If you or any of your friends/relatives prefer to stay on ‘dry land’, you’d be pleased to know that the event will have a designated Wet Zone and Dry Zone. So if you want to dine and imbibe with no intention of getting wet, then you’re in the clear… as long as you stay in the Dry Zone!

2. Top-notch Thai entertainment daily!

Esn8846

What’s a festival without good music? Songkran Festival 2025 will feature plenty of live Thai artist performances from 5PM onwards daily, setting the perfect vibe for a water battleground. And once the clock reaches 8.30PM, renowned DJs will be taking over the stage to turn up the party energy and keep you dancing all night long~

Esn9411

But if there’s one band performance that you simply can’t miss, it’d have to be the dynamic Thai pop-rock band, Yes’sir Days, who’ll be performing on 19 April, 7PM! With their emotional lyrics and captivating performances, check out how they managed to capture the hearts of fans in their homeland and around the world.

And, of course, what’s a cultural festival without a little culture? Catch UNESCO-recognised cultural performances like traditional Thai music and art and uncover the significance of Songkran in Thai culture.

3. Salivate over top-tier authentic Thai food + more!

Esn8127

Once you’re done playing with water, what better way to warm up than lapping up authentic Thai delicacies, shopping, and flexing your creative muscles?

Check out 35 vendors at Songkran Festival 2025 that sell everything from Thai food and drinks to trendy fashion apparel and accessories.

When it comes to food, you MUST check out these THREE food stalls, which are restaurants that have been awarded the Thai SELECT certification for serving high-quality, truly authentic Thai cuisine:

  • PJ Khao Man Gai — Famed for its Bangkok street-style chicken rice, you can finally skip the long queue and try out this popular Thai establishment.
  • M Dining — Savour modern Thai cuisines with a creative spin at this contemporary restaurant, such as Red Cha-Cha Curry Seabass, Crab Sliders, Grilled Thai Tango, and more.
  • One Restaurant — This restaurant prides itself on serving up bona fide Thai street food with ingredients imported straight from Thailand, resulting in authentic flavours that make you feel like you’re in Bangkok.
