Christmas is upon us, and that means it’s time to sit back, relax, drink and be merry with friends and family.
We don’t know about you, but there’s something so comforting about having a nice beverage to commemorate the festivities, which is why we’re pretty stoked about this recent drink Somersby launched!
Of course, we just had to try this drink out for ourselves to see if it was worth all the hype and let you guys know what’s up! (Plus, we’re suckers for anything Rosé!)
So, without further ado, here’s what we think!
1. Packaging
One way to win us over is DEFINITELY pretty packaging, and of course, they knocked it out of the park with their simple white and pink colour scheme. So pretty!
Apart from that, the Rosé comes in your standard 330ml Somersby bottle and can also be purchased in a pack of four, so nothing out of the ordinary there.
2. Colour
We’ve got to say, the gorgeous pale pink colour definitely helped zap us into the Christmas mood, and it definitely makes for a great festive Instagram shot! #MillennialPink
3. …And most importantly – taste!
After getting over the initial gorgeousness of the drink itself, we finally got around to giving it a taste (after we got our cameras pried off our hands! Lol).
A quick whiff of the sparkling Rosé hits you with a pleasant floral scent, but you get a slight berry flavour when you first taste it. Like any Rosé, there’s definitely some sweetness to it, but the “sparkling” factor gives it an extra dimension!
With a 4.5 per cent alcohol content, this light semi-sweet apple rose cider is definitely great for casual social drinking. We reckon it would go great with any kind of dessert that has a hint of bitterness to complement the tones from the sweet drink.
All in all, Somersby’s Sparkling Rosé has definitely met our standards!
If you’d like to give this drink a try, you better hurry because it’s actually limited edition! Released on 30th November, this sparkling Rosé will only be available for 6 months.
Check out their Facebook page here if you’d like to know which restaurants and bars in Malaysia serve this drink. You can also look at their website here! You’re welcome! 😉
