Popular celebrity and host Adriana Adnan recently shared a heartbreaking moment she witnessed at the bustling Wangsa Maju Ramadan Bazaar, a moment that turned a lively evening into something deeply unsettling.
A woman, believed to be the stall owner, suddenly approached from behind and began scolding one of her workers. What started as raised voices quickly escalated into verbal abuse.

The breaking point over a shortage of eggs
The issue, it seemed, was a simple shortage of eggs. The owner allegedly lost control of her emotions and uttered vulgarities, including the word “sial,” in front of stunned customers waiting for their orders.
The tension thickened as customers exchanged awkward glances; some stared down at their phones to avoid the uncomfortable scene. Adriana, who was livestreaming on TikTok at the time, captured the heavy atmosphere as the scolding continued without any regard for the crowd.
A worker in tears
What broke Adriana’s heart most was the reaction of one female worker. Adriana tried to comfort her, gently suggesting that more eggs could easily be purchased nearby, but the damage had already been done.
Overwhelmed by embarrassment and pressure, the worker eventually broke down in tears.
“If you must scold them, pull them aside.”

In a post on Threads today (2 March), Adriana pointed out that while she understood the frustrations of running a business, there is a right time and place to vent anger.
“If you must scold them, pull them aside. Don’t keep humiliating your workers in front of customers who don’t even need to know your problems.”
Adriana acknowledged that earning a living during Ramadan, working in the heat while fasting, is never easy. However, she reminded business owners that a little restraint goes a long way.
“If you can be patient just a little, God will ease your affairs,” she said, urging employers to protect both their workers’ dignity and their customers’ comfort.
