In a podcast, this ghostbuster explains that coins found near food stalls, nasi lemak stalls, burger stalls, and many more are not to be touched or tampered with—they may have been placed there by those practising black magic.

The podcast’s caption mentioned, “Do not pick up coins, as people used to do bad things to you.”

“You can always locate one near roadside stalls, near those selling nasi lemak, burgers, there are always coins scattered,” he shared.

“It means that someone has sent blackmagic to the owners of these stalls. 5 cents, 10 cents, but no 50 cents because it is too big.”

The interviewer asks what would happen to the store owners.

He said, “Normally they would be harmed, they want to take over.”

“I see this happening mostly amongst the Malays, especially those in the catering industry. They have their techniques on how to do it.”

Taking to the comments section, here are some information shared by netizens on the topic.

“Malay sihir is the most powerful that even the Chinese can get scared. If there are those from Borneo, the sifus sometimes just give up.”

“Once there was this battery shop which always closes, but in truth, it was open all along. Apparently some sihir was used to confund customers from going to the shop,” said a user.
