A police officer who postponed his wedding to be on duty at the frontlines has been praised by Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
In a Facebook post, Dr Wee shared a photo of Mohd Ridzuan Baharudin on duty at a roadblock in Negeri Sembilan holding up a cardboard sign saying,
“I’m supposed to get married today (17 January 2021).”
“For the sake of duty for our country, our security members are ready to sacrifice anything,” Dr Wee said.
“Security member Ahmad Zaim Nasreen bin Musa was supposed to celebrate his happy day with his partner, Mas Ayuvita binti Azizul at Felda Palong 8, Gemas, Negeri Sembilan today 17 Jan 2021.”
“But for the sake of his responsibility to the country, Ahmad Zaim delayed his happy day.”
Dr Wee called it a “very big sacrifice” and urged Malaysians to appreciate the services and sacrifices of our country’s front line officers.
“#Salute #JagaNegaraKita,” Dr Wee wrote.
Thank you Ahmad Zaim for your sacrifice for the nation! We hope your happy day will come really soon!
