Every once in a while, Malaysia has the honour of being the backdrop to foreign films with star studded casts. From 2016’s Mechanic: Resurrection to 2018’s Crazy Rich Asians, more and more movie industry players are taking an interest in our country.
Hence, it’s no longer surprising to hear that filmmakers and actors are making their way to Malaysia to shoot scenes and enjoy the scenery.
Recently, Perfect Addiction’s Ross Butler and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’s Lana Condor were in Malaysia to shoot scenes for their upcoming romantic indie movie called Worth the Wait.
According to Deadline, the flick, which boasts an all Asian cast, is set against both Seattle and Kuala Lumpur, and will focus on a year in the interconnected lives and romances of the characters.
Starring alongside Butler and Condor are Fast & Furious franchise’s Sung Kang, Daredevil’s Elodie Yung and Andrew Koji, who worked with Henry Golding in Snake Eyes!
Both Butler and Condor were spotted enjoying the amazing food that Malaysia has to offer along the streets of Kuala Lumpur while also visiting our gorgeous tourist attractions such as Batu Caves.
We genuinely cannot wait to see Worth the Wait when it comes out, just so we can spot familiar locations and be like:
We’re certain that this movie will be… worth the wait. Ba dum tss.
