A religious school head has been arrested for the third time to assist in investigations related to a case of physical sexual assault involving one of his students.
According to Kosmo!, the 46-year-old suspect was detained after police received a report from a 16-year-old student.

“The suspect has been remanded for seven days starting today until September 25 for further investigation under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017,” police said.
Meanwhile, Tumpat District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Khairi Shafie confirmed that his department had received a report regarding the case.
Previously, Kosmo! reported that the man was charged in the Pasir Mas Sessions Court on 11 September with seven counts of physical sexual assault against male students and possession of obscene images, allegedly committed between June 2024 and August 20.

The school head posted RM45,000 bail for all charges with one surety, under conditions that he must not disturb witnesses and must report to the nearest police station monthly.
He was later brought before the Kuala Terengganu Sessions Court yesterday to face two additional charges of physically sexually assaulting a 14-year-old male student.
The suspect posted RM18,000 bail with one surety for both charges.
