Oh no! Was he nervous? We hope he’s okay!
This morning (26 Oct), a 33-year-old policeman reportedly fell onto a house roof after he fainted mid-air during a parachute training at around 11am in Taiping.
According to Berita Harian, a Fire and Rescue Department’s spokesperson said he received an emergency call at 11.03am and nine firemen were rushed straight to the scene. He added that as soon as he arrived at the location, he saw the man on a house roof, with an open parachute strapped onto him.
“We immediately carried him down and the medical officers took over for further action,” he stated.
The unconscious policeman suffered from injuries on his face and is now being treated at the Taiping Hospital. We hope he recovers quick!
The parachute exercise was carried out with a few other teammates at a height of 915 metres (3,000 ft) and one of his teammates claimed that he tried reaching out to him through a walkie-talkie at around 304.8 metres (1,000 ft) in the air but there was no reply.
This was when he was believed to have fainted. His parachute was still open, causing him to glide in the air before ending up on the roof.
We’re sorry to hear what happened to him and we wish him a speedy recovery!
