The latest trend that has been going viral is the #KekeChallenge which has been blowing up on the internet a few weeks ago. The challenge was started on Instagram by American DJ Shiggy.
This challenge requires a person in the passenger’s seat to jump out of a (moderately) moving car while lip-syncing to the chorus of Drake’s “In My Feelings” whilst being recorded by the driver.
Other than ordinary people, famous artists like Will Smith and Ciara have also picked up the trend and completed the #KekeChallenge. Here’s a video of how it’s done:

Obviously, the #KekeChallenge trend has quickly caught on in Malaysia too because some of them have recorded themselves completing the challenge. Not only that, some of Malaysia’s famous artistes like Fasha Sandha, Siti Sarah Raisuddin and Janna Nick were also seen completing the challenge.
While people take up this challenge in the name of good fun, Malaysian traffic police have advised people to not perform the challenge on public roads, especially youngsters, reported NST.
The City Traffic Enforcement Investigation Department chief Assistant Commissioner Zulkefly Yahya believes that is better to be safe than sorry because this challenge could possibly endanger other people on the road although they have not received any complaints yet. Sound advice!
“Thus far, we have yet to receive complaints or reports of road accidents due to ‘Keke Challenge,” said Yahya when contacted by NST.
However, he advised all Malaysians to avoid performing the challenge on the road because it may jeopardise the safety of others and themselves. True.
Well, Yahya made some valid statements because performing this challenge on the road – especially, a busy road – is definitely dangerous. So, maybe we should listen to him and avoid jumping on the #KekeChallenge bandwagon. Better safe than sorry, lah!
