As a coach, it can be devastating to see your team getting defeated, and recently, the coach of Perak Football Club, Datuk Lim Teong Kim made his disappointment clear when answering the question from the media.
The Perak FC recently lost to the JDT FC in a match recently, and the reporter started asking Datuk Lim questions, which he initially ignored by pointing to his ear and pretending not to hear the questions clearly.
“Another result that doesn’t seem good for Perak tonight. How do you summarise the match tonight, coach?” the reporter asked.
After knowing the coach was ignoring the question, the reporter moved on to another question, and Datuk Lim continued to disregard the question in the same manner.
“What do you think of your team’s performance tonight, coach?”
By this time, Datuk Lim made it REALLY clear that he was annoyed and unhappy by looking away from the reporter, but the reporter continued with the same question after being told by one of his colleagues to go nearer. Datuk Lim answered by saying,
“I’ve told you right? JDT is a strong team.”
The reporter then asked the coach what he thought about his team’s weaknesses, which did not sit well with Dato’ Lim.
“Weakness? You saw the game, right? Think about the weakness yourself lah. It’s not that you didn’t see it. Whoever saw it, they would know lah,” Datuk Lim chuckled sarcastically and walked away.
“Coach went koyak immediately”
Malaysians, on the other hand, had a lot to say about Datuk Lim’s reactions. Some agreed that he was being rude and couldn’t accept the loss, while others thought that the questions posed were too inappropriate.
“The kind who slams the controller when he loses a game.”
“Why blame the coach? The questions from the reporter sound like kindergarten ones. LTK had very obvious answers to those questions, of course, he was annoyed. What kind of questions are those, anyway?”
“Coach went koyak immediately.”
“LTK has his ego, so the questions should’ve been altered a bit to have some positive feedback. Obviously, LTK was not going to say anything negative, so you need to do some research to talk to someone egotistical.”
“Others lost to JDT too, but they still responded to the reporters with manner.”
“Manners are so important. I respect that reporter for having a high level of patience. If I was him, I would’ve yelled at the coach.”

Fellow Malaysians, especially football enthusiasts, what do you think of Datuk Lim’s response to the media? Did the loss justify his crankiness, or do you think he could’ve answered the media in a better manner?
