It’s important to keep a cool head while driving and this recent viral video of a near-fatal accident is a testament to that.
Shared by Facebook user Low Chin Hee yesterday (27 April), the 1-minute 39-second video from a dash cam shows a man falling off his motorcycle after kicking a Honda Accord on its driver’s side and almost being run over by a lorry.
As of the time of writing, the video had been viewed over 118,000 times and garnered more than 1,300 reactions. Moreover, based on the post’s caption, the incident is believed to have taken place near the government health clinic in Bukit Minyak, Penang.
Earlier in the video, the motorcyclist can be seen almost getting hit by the Honda Accord when the two vehicles were going through a merging intersection.
After a few seconds, the motorcyclist maneuvered to the right of the car to overtake it but while he was right beside the vehicle, the man suddenly lifted his left leg and kicked the Honda Accord on its driver’s side, presumably as ‘revenge’ for nearly hitting him.
The action then caused the motorcyclist to lose balance and the man ended up crashing down on the road. Throughout this, the motorcycle was riding dangerously in front of a lorry.
Thankfully, the lorry driver managed to brake right before it hits the motorcyclist who had fallen on the ground.
Seeing what had transpired, the Honda Accord driver stopped his vehicle at the left side of the road, presumably to assist the motorcyclist. You can watch the whole video here:
Let this be a reminder to all of us to always stay vigilant and not let our emotions take over when driving on the road.
