Getting into medical school takes intelligence and drive. As students move closer to becoming doctors, they pick up even more skills that help them succeed. So, what really makes a great doctor?
In a recent widely-shared post that is making rounds online and sparking discussions among internet users, user @JamalThaRebel shares a photo of a report filed he made against a doctor from Penang.
The story starts when people noticed the doctor making inappropriate comments about a patient she was treating. These comments sparked anger among many online users who felt her behavior was unprofessional and unnecessary.
Netizens feel that it’s uncalled for, for her to expose information about a patient openly on social media. To makes matters worse was due to the fact that she makes it sound so sarcastic.
The tweet reads,
“Just report it to the disciplinary board. Which government doctor’s ethics allow them to speak about mental illness like this? Besides, how many hospitals are there in Penang?”
Jamal is urging everyone else to submit the report using the link he shared to ensure that appropriate action is taken against the doctor and that the case is treated seriously.
It’s still unclear how the situation began or why the doctor disclosed patient information and made such remarks. However, it was certainly enough to spark anger online.
Online users quickly flooded the comment section with criticism of the doctor’s words.
“Becoming a government doctor requires professionalism even on social media. It’s not difficult for anyone to find details about you. All of that information can be easily accessed on the merits website.”
“Do doctors really have time to spare for things like this? It’s amusing to see.”
“I feel like I’ve encountered the doctor before. She has no filter at all when she speaks.”
“When you don’t know the person has a mental illness, and suddenly a doctor reveals it like it’s nothing. She really can’t keep a secret.”

In healthcare, patient confidentiality is crucial. When patients feel safe, they’re more likely to seek help for their medical concerns and to share their symptoms openly during appointments.
