If you’re an admirer of history, culture and the arts, then make sure to take advantage of this new packaged entrance pass the next time you visit the historical city of Melaka.

Introduced by the Melaka Museum Corporation (Perzim), a new “One Pass, One Fee” package allows you to visit all museums under the corporation for a single payment.

Malaysia Youth Museum And Melaka Art Gallery

According to BERNAMA, Melaka State Tourism, Heritage, Arts and Culture Committee deputy chairman Datuk Zaidi Attan said that for the first phase, an RM30 entrance pass can be used to visit five museums, which are:

  • Melaka Art Gallery
  • Youth Museum
  • History and Ethnography Museum
  • Flor de Lar Mar Maritime Museum
  • Naval Museum

Furthermore, the state is also planning to introduce the second phase of the entrance pass to visit 5 more museums, including the People’s Museum, Melaka Sultanate Place Museum and Stamp Museum.

He added that in the future, the One Pass, One Fee entrance pass will not only facilitate visitors and tourists to visit all 20 museums and 8 galleries under Perzim’s supervision, but also help to save on ticket fees.

Furthermore, the entrance fee collected for all the museums could ensure that the state heritage buildings or assets are well-maintained to be passed down to future generations.

Awesome! So, what do you guys think of this initiative? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
