Gen Z is sometimes stereotyped as lazy or dubbed the “snowflake generation.” But such labels hardly reflect everyone. In fact, one woman in her 20s was previously reported to be working four jobs in her pursuit of financial freedom as quickly as possible.

Now, Cik B, the daughter of the Malaysian businesswoman and entrepreneur, Dato Seri Vida, is also out to prove that not all Gen Zs are lazy, and definitely not her, given how much she makes each month.

Cik B recently said that she makes over RM500,000 a month.

Cik B, whose real name is Nur Edlynn Zamileen Muhammad Amin, however, refused to disclose the exact amount of her income when asked during a street interview recently, which circulated on TikTok. In case you are not aware, Cik B has been running her online business for years, focusing on selling crispy salmon skin snacks and other products.

On Cik B’s 19th birthday, she got herself a Mercedes-Benz G63 Brabus dream car, which cost RM1.79 million.

Push yourself harder

Cik B also took the opportunity to motivate her generation to soldier through life by pushing themselves harder.

“We need to always ‘push’ ourselves to work even if we don’t like it. Identify and pursue your interest. Once we know what we are interested in, we will be more enthusiastic about doing it.”

When asked about the factors causing laziness in some Gen Z individuals, Cik B said there are many reasons, and one of them could be related to mental health issues. However, she said that one should not entirely blame laziness on mental health.

“Maybe some are lazy because of their lifestyle. Maybe they are already comfortable with how they currently lead their lives. They can eat, play games, they can survive, so why bother changing?”

Cik B also shared the principles that she holds dear in life: Be good to others, listen to your mother, don’t be arrogant, and give to those in need.

Dato Seri Vida previously revealed that in 2023, Cik B’s total expenses reached a whopping RM1 million a month.
