Last Thursday, 30 November 2023, the Red Sea International Film Festival (RSIFF) commenced in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where 143 films were showcased from over 66 nations around the globe.
Presented to almost 40,000 moviegoers and more than 4,000 film professionals, media members, and students, many international names hit the event in style. However, one particular supermodel made her appearance on the red carpet wearing an impeccable Malaysian design.
International supermodel Naomi Campbell turned heads yesterday, 3 December, when she wore a custom design by Malaysian fashion brand, Rizman Ruzaini. Consisting of an embellished red bodice top, her the fashion statement also had elaborate puffy sleeves while the dress itself had a gradient transition to the bottom from red to black.
According to an article by Arab News, Campbell walked the red carpet at the MENA premiere for The Absence of Eden (2023), on the third day of the festival.
Sharing the news on their official TikTok account @rizmanruzainiofficial, many Malaysians congratulated the brand on the monumental achievement, and having their fashion line represented by one of the top supermodels in the world at an international film festival.
Nevertheless, some Malaysians may recall that this past October, Campbell had also walked for the Rizman Ruzaini runway show at the Dubai Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
For that show, Campbell had donned a dress that featured various songket motifs and took more than 600 hours to complete in construction.
