Former prime minister Najib Tun Razak has been the centre of public attention for quite a while, especially during recent events following GE14, which saw him and his family being questioned and even arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on more than one occasion.

Recently though, it seems like he’s also been making unexpected appearances internationally, because Malaysian K-Drama fans actually spotted a brief cameo he made in a popular series, “My Secret Terrius” or “Terius Behind Me”.

During one scene in episode 9 of this particular K-Drama, a screen in the background plays footage of what appears to be when the former prime minister was first arrested by the MACC earlier in July this year (2018). Naturally, Malaysians were pleasantly surprised and amused by this brief (albeit probably unintentional) cameo and took to social media.

Just last month, Malaysians were also shocked to see local artist Fahmi Reza’s controversial clown painting of the former prime minister appear in a K-pop music video for the song ‘Falling in Love’ by Woo Jin Young and Kim Hyun Soo.

Although it wasn’t clear if the artists knew what the message behind the painting was, Malaysians were quite pleasantly surprised to see the controversial painting being shown in an international music video.

Have you spotted Najib in this K-Drama episode? Let us know in the comments below!
