Your water-breaking signals that labour is approaching. For first-time moms, it’s usually nothing to worry about! But surprisingly, it’s often dads who get the most anxious when it happens.
In a recent amusing video shared by @ricxxxkiddo, a Malaysian couple is seen eagerly preparing to welcome their second baby into the world!
Her water broke!
In the video, the couple is seen heading to the hospital, with the husband recording the scene from the car. He humorously points out how relaxed his wife appears, even though she’s about to go into labour.
The camera captures his wife nonchalantly responding to WhatsApp messages from clients and agents, even holding what seems to be a sirap drink in her hand.
The caption in the video reads,
“At the time of this video, we were on our way to the hospital. As you can see, my wife was still casually responding to messages from clients and agents.”
“She appears to be so calm”
The husband went on to say how he couldn’t comprehend how calm his wife was, even witnessing her answer phone calls calmly.
“While she’s there being so calm, I’m here all panicky and nervous on her behalf.”
As if the situation wasn’t amusing enough, the husband was so nervous that his wife’s water broke, that he even had his shirt on inside out.
“Why should I be nervous, you ask? It’s because her water had already broken while we were on our way to the hospital.”
“Our baby was born safely”
Despite everything, the husband shared that his wife successfully gave birth to their beautiful 2nd child, making their firstborn a proud big sister.
He concluded the video with a heartfelt message:
“Thank you, Ma. I love you forever.”
Netizens couldn’t help but weigh in on the couple’s situation, flooding the comment section with their thoughts and reactions!
“Since it’s her 2nd child, it’s normal to be more relaxed. It would have been a different story with her 1st child.”
“I think dads, in general, get nervous regardless of whether it’s their first child or not. My husband was extremely anxious, even when I wasn’t in labour yet. When I did go into labour, he was driving the car, sweating all the way.”
“Just like my situation, my wife was handling client admissions right when she was about to go into labor, while I was there, feeling nervous.”
“The baby was clearly eager to make an entrance, but the mother remained surprisingly calm and casual about it.”
