For the past few days, an image showing a shattered glass cabinet and broken toys went viral on social media, with many public Facebook pages resharing the content, and claiming that the damage was done by kids who visited a Raya open house.

However, that is not the case.

We too did the mistake of featuring the image in our article by basing it on what was stated in the caption of the viral post. As of today (May 2), the owner of the image, Nadzrin reached out to WORLD OF BUZZ to shed light on what actually happened.

No kids were involved in the damage, and it did not happen during any Raya open houses. The glass cabinet was damaged and shattered by itself as the owner attached the parts wrongly.

According to him, the image was originally shared in a private Facebook group called Malaysian Toys Club to seek answers on why the glass cabinet shattered by itself.

“I shared the image on the 6th day of Raya. The next day, to my surprise, it went viral with an entirely different caption”, Nadzrin told WORLD OF BUZZ.

Nadzrin also said that he has reached out to the Facebook pages that shared his image with the misleading captions, however, as of now, he has yet to receive any responses from them. Nadzrin also shared with us a screenshot of his original caption.

“Tears in Syawal. A hero has to remain calm.”

He added, “Netizens were quick to put the blame on the parents and kids when that was not the case.”

WORLD OF BUZZ has also apologised to Nadzrin for resharing his image without obtaining the real story behind the picture.Β
