A video has drawn significant attention online, with many calling for the authorities to look into the matter. Netizens have urged Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to investigate a structure believed to be located in Bukit Bintang.
In the viral clip, which has since been reshared across various social media platforms, a rectangular structure is shown to have been spray-painted in colours resembling a foreign flag.

At one point in the video, a man is seen walking up to the structure, wiping it with a cloth, and then saluting it.

Findings contradict social media claims

It is worth noting that publicly displaying a foreign flag or emblem in Malaysia is an offence under the National Emblems (Control of Display) Act 1949.
Offenders can be arrested without a warrant and face up to 6 months in jail, up to RM500 fine, or both if convicted.
