The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) received a call from a member of the public about a stray dog that was found trapped in Debak, Sarawak.
Betong District Civil Defence Officer, Captain Mohammad Noor, said a team of four officers from the Debak District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) was deployed to the scene after the animal was found stuck in a net at a futsal court.

Mohammad Noor said the officers arrived at the location at 9:48 AM and successfully freed the dog, according to Utusan Sarawak.
“Three APM personnel carefully freed the dog to avoid injuring the animal while also ensuring the safety of the rescuers throughout the operation,” he said.
He added that the rescue was completed within minutes, with the operation ending at 9:58 AM.

“APM remains ready to provide emergency assistance, including animal rescues, to ensure public safety and animal welfare are protected.”
