The Road Transport Department (JPJ) yesterday (19 October) announced its latest special number plate series, this time featuring the acronym “MADANI” in reference to the policy framework and slogan of the current Federal Government.
Rather fittingly, the launch of the new MADANI special registration plate was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the Program MADANI Rakyat 2024 Sayangi Sabah event in Likas, Sabah, yesterday.

Taking to its Facebook page, JPJ revealed that during the event, Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook presented the new MADANI special number plate series to Anwar, symbolising the launching of the new plate number series.
JPJ added that the MADANI special number plate series is a government initiative to support the MADANI Malaysia agenda, which indirectly promotes the MADANI values, which are a reflection of the nation’s soul and aspirations in every step of our lives.
Attached with the post are several photos of the events, which gave a closer look at some of the noteworthy number plates in the series, such as MADANI 8055, MADANI 2, MADANI 10, MADANI 63, MADANI 5 and MADANI 8888.
In a separate post, JPJ announced that the MADANI special number plates are open for bidding for 5 days via the JPJeBid system.
Specifically, Malaysians can bid for the special number plates from 19 October to 23 October 2024 at 10 pm. Furthermore, the results of the bidding will be announced on 24 October.
Bidding starts at RM100, and the revenue from the MADANI special number plates will be channelled to realise the Transport Ministry’s initiatives, namely the MyLESEN, Helmet Exchange and FlySISWA subsidies programmes, as well as PERKESEO payments to taxi drivers.
