Lately, harassment cases in Malaysia have been increasing, leaving many women scared to even go out in public. The fear they feel can be overwhelming, especially when they have to experience a situation like this one…
Amanda (name changed to protect privacy) reached out to WORLD OF BUZZ to share a terrifying experience she and her 2 friends had while waiting in line at a famous nasi kandar shop in Perak.

Things took a terrifying turn when they were waiting in line
Amanda shared that she and her friend, Marina (name changed to protect privacy), are from Perak, while their friend Sarah (name changed to protect privacy) is from another state. Sarah decided to visit Amanda and Marina, and as would everyone else, they were excited to go on a foodie trip
They decided to visit a famous nasi kandar that everyone has been raving about.
However, things took a terrifying turn while they were waiting in line for a table at the nasi kandar restaurant. Amanda went on to explain that as they waited, a man in a blue shirt and turban was seen walking around near the entrance.
“The man, who was approximately 160-165cm tall and thin, eventually ended up behind Sarah in the queue. We assumed he was also waiting for a table.”

The stranger was standing very close to her
Amanda revealed that at one point, she noticed the man standing very close to Sarah, but they didn’t think much of it at the time.
Less than 10 minutes later, the man disappeared from the line without the 3 friends even noticing. Shortly after, they were called to their table.
Amanda continued to share that as they were walking into the shop, 2 random and kind ladies approached them and informed Sarah that there was a white liquid substance and pubic hair on her pants. Panicked, Amanda and Marina quickly rushed Sarah to the restroom.
“Before realising the nature of the substance, my friend touched her pants, confirming it was semen. This realisation caused her to vomit. We were extremely distressed by the incident,” Amanda said.

They took her home and helped her dispose of her clothes
Amanda and Marina quickly took Sarah to Amanda’s house, where she could shower and change. Amanda also took it upon herself to dispose of the contaminated clothing.
Amanda revealed that they haven’t taken any action yet, but they are considering filing a police report, although they were unable to identify the stranger.
“Sarah’s boyfriend contacted the restaurant to see if there was any CCTV footage to track the stranger, but unfortunately there wasn’t any. I’m not sure what kind of action can be taken against these sexual harassers. If there’s anything we can do, we would be happy to at least have our voices heard and feel some sense of validation.”

“We can find solace in the fact that there is always hope and justice”
Amanda continued to express their deep disturbance over the incident and their sadness about the state of society. She shared her advise to all women to always be extra cautious in public, whether it’s day or night.
“I want everyone to be aware that such maniacs do exist and can freely harass us. Take care of your safety and that of your loved ones at all times. Always maintain a safe distance from others, especially when in line.”
It’s a scary world out there, especially when you don’t know what someone is capable of. We hope Sarah and her friends are doing okay, especially in the aftermath of such an unsettling experience.
