Floods are once again causing devastation and our community members are facing all kinds of hurdles in order to survive and strive through the muddy waters.

One woman was allegedly separated from her mother when the floods had hit where they lived and she had lost contact with her mother for 2 days. But, when the woman found her mother, there was another challenge she had to face in order for them to reunite.

Based on a report by Kosmo, the woman was seen dangerously crossing river through a half-destroyed bridge in order to get to her mother on the other side.

This incident is believed to have happened in Terengganu.

Her perseverance and willingness to risk her life to reunite with her mother caught the attention of the public, many of which advised flood victims not to expose themselves to such risky situations.

“May your burdens be lightened, sister. Be careful, take care of your safety and cherish your loved ones especially now during the floods,” one netizen shared.

There’s an electrical cable there, so dangerous. I hope no one copies her actions, it’s so scary to see,” another said.

While we’re happy the woman managed to reunite with her mother and that nothing happened to the woman as she crossed the river, we hope everyone thinks twice and considers their own safety especially while you’re in the floods.

Terengganu has been flooding for 6 days now and the number of victim is reaching 18,000 people. Let’s pray that those numbers don’t go up any further.

Everyone, stay safe out there!
