M’sian Unaware Of Wife Behind Car, Reverses & Accidentally Causes Her Death

Accidents happen unexpectedly and you might not know when is the last time you might see your loved ones.

A Malaysian man in Kulim was unaware that his wife was behind his car while he reversed, in turn, he pressed the gas pedal and rammed into her.

The this incident took place on 28 April in front of their house in Kulim, reported Nanyang Siang Pau. Superintendent Mohd Redzuan Salleh, the Kulim district police chief said that they received a report about the accident and immediately sent a team over for investigations.

It is said that the 60-year-old man was unaware that his wife was behind the left side of the car and when he pressed the accelerator; he banged into her and knocked her down. This caused serious injuries which eventually led to her death.

After that, he banged into another car that was parked in front of their house.

“According to the preliminary investigation by the police, the deceased forgot to take something so she got out of the car and went back to the house to get it.”

“When she walked to the left side behind her husband’s car, she got knocked down.”

The body of the deceased has been sent to the Kulim Hospital for an autopsy. The police will also investigate this case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
