Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival is back with an epic collision between street food and streetwear! With the new theme, Xperience the Xtraordinary, Tiger brings together over 100 street food vendors across Malaysia and renowned streetwear brands, releasing not only unique street food but also exclusive apparel. Other than Klang Valley and Penang, the exciting street food festival is also happening in Ipoh and Johor Bahru

Every Thursday to Sunday from 11th Nov – 19th Dec 2021 (11am – 9pm), join the Tiger Street Food Virtual Festival for delicious street food AND trendy streetwear!

Wondering what to expect? Well, we spent some time Xperiencing the Xtraordinary, and thought it was indeed one of a kind! From Bak Kut Teh to Claypot Chicken Rice and Curry Mee, the long list of menu items is bound to satisfy all of your street food cravings! More interestingly, if you order a combo meal that comes with your choice of Tiger Beer or Tiger Crystal, you’ll receive two pairs of limited-edition Tiger Beer chopsticks! KLANG VALLEY 

1. SS2 Fatty Duck 

If you enjoy braised or stewed dishes, you should definitely try the famous stewed duck from SS2 Fatty Duck! This family-run business is known for selling juicy stewed duck prepared using traditional Teo Chew stewing methods. It is usually served with rice and other mouth-watering stewed sides, such as eggs, peanuts, pig’s intestines, and mushrooms.

2. A1 Bak Kut Teh

Let’s agree that there’s nothing like a bowl of steamy Bak Kut Teh to warm our hearts, especially on a rainy day! The Bak Kut Teh soup from A1 Bak Kut Teh is not only fragrant but also thick and rich. Other than the chewy tao pok (fried beancurd puff) that oozes herbal soup with every bite, the tender pork meat is also a dream come true for many foodies. The vendor also offers several side dishes that are equally as delicious, such as stir-fried kangkung, braised chicken feet, pig’s trotter in black vinegar sauce, and so on!

3. Beans and Yogurt

Check out the unique Nasi Lemak burger from Beans and Yogurt! This fusion dish takes Western burgers and infuses them with our Malaysian staple sambal ikan bilis. It has two fluffy burger buns sandwiching a crispy, boneless fried chicken topped with sambal ikan bilis, fried egg and lettuce. Not a huge fan of burgers? Don’t worry, this café offers many other innovative dishes, ranging from spaghetti to chops, and even desserts!

4. Tan Jetty Prawn Fritters & Loh Bak

Tourists and Penangites alike are all aware of the famous prawn fritters and loh bak stall in Tan Jetty! The vendor is known for selling crispy and juicy prawn fritters, loh bak (pork rolls), and spring rolls that are fried to golden-brown perfection, and served with chilli sauce that complements the fried snacks. And let us tell you that their chilli sauce is da bomb! It is sweet and tangy, with a slight acidic twist from the added lime juice.

5. I Mum Mum Noodle Library

Have you ever seen a bowl of soup pan mee that looks exactly like Japanese ramen? If you haven’t, then you MUST check out the Seaweed Meat Slice Pan Mee from I Mum Mum Noodle Library! The unique dish comes with thin pan mee noodles soaked in rich soup topped with seaweed, Chinese cabbage, sliced meat, soft boiled egg, and chopped shallots. The signature dry and soup pan mee, as well as chilli pan mee are worth a try too!

6. Lim Ko Pi 

Lim Ko Pi is where we can find kopi with authentic Ipoh flavours! The Signature Nanyang Kopi 98 is made from fresh coffee beans that are roasted and grounded in Ipoh, and then brewed using traditional Nanyang methods to achieve a smooth texture. Other than offering the signature kopi with cream crackers, Lim Ko Pi also has cold-brew kopi packaged in minimalistic, café-styled bottles!

7. Uncle Long

Uncle Long is known for selling char siew (roasted pork), roasted chicken, siew cheong (sausage), and siew yoke (roasted pork belly), all of which are home roasted by Ray Lim Tze Kee, an experienced chef specializing in Chinese roasting. Besides serving the delicious roasted meat with sesame oil-infused rice, Uncle Long takes the game to a whole new level by serving their signature char siew with man tou (Chinese steamed buns) and fresh lettuce!

What’s more, you get to customize your avatar using street food-inspired apparel! While exploring the beautiful town area, don’t forget to look for Joshua Michael and Lizz Chloe’s avatars, as they will lead you to some fun games to play. Upon completing the games, each user can win Tiger Coins, which can be used to redeem vouchers
