A video is currently going viral online showing a Singapore-registered vehicle driving against the flow of traffic at the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) checkpoint and colliding with another car.
In response, Malaysian authorities pelted the vehicle with traffic cones in an attempt to stop the driver. One officer even drew his weapon, though no shots were fired.

Chaos at the BSI checkpoint
Dashboard camera footage from the victim’s car was shared on the SGRV ADMIN Facebook page. The caption reads:
“Drove against the flow of traffic and crashed into [the dashcam car] while trying to leave the complex, while Malaysian policemen used traffic cones to hit the vehicle.”
This incident is believed to have occurred on 10 January at 1:33 AM.
Escalation and the police response

In the video, the dashcam vehicle enters a lane at the complex only to be met by a car driving against traffic. The offending driver reversed before lunging forward several times, eventually colliding with the front of the dashcam car. This prompted an officer to draw his firearm.
As police attempted to intercept the driver by shouting instructions and striking the car with traffic cones, the dashcam vehicle reversed out of the lane, providing a path for the suspect to drive off.
