The friendzone is a concept that came to light years ago but people are still suffering from it ’til this day.

And while many have grown to accept being in the friendzone, there are some out there who don’t believe that people are allowed to not like a person back.

A Malaysian man took to the SecretsMY Twitter page to anonymously call out women for friendzoning ‘good guys’ while dating people who may (or may not) end up toying with their feelings and breaking their hearts.

He wrote, “I always wonder, why do girls always ignore the one who is really serious about them and instead choose someone who is as clear as day just there for awhile? This used to be my story. And then, I heard and read so many stories about this. And it always makes me wonder, why?”

He went on to share how his friend had gotten friendzoned by a woman he really liked, only for her to date someone who broke her heart

“There’s this guy, he’s been waiting for his chance for a long time but he’s always getting sidelines (by the girl) on the reason that ‘being friends is better’. But this guy is genuine about this girl. Then, this girl met some douchebag who left her after 3 or 4 months, leaving her with emotional scars.”

“This good guy came and comforted her and she had the audacity to just say, ‘sorry, I’m traumatised by men‘. Like yeah, who asked you to choose a douchebag, right?”

He ended his post by leaving his advice for both men in the friendzone and women who friendzone men

“Anyways, for all the good guys, fighting to get your chances, good luck. I can stay (in the friendzone) or you can just let go. I’ve learned that the hard way. Luckily, now I’ve found someone who isn’t ‘traumatised‘ or whatnot.”

“Girls, do better.”

While it may be saddening to be in the friendzone, it is also fine for someone to not have the same feelings for you as you do for them.
