Doctors slammed him for his actions

Healthcare professional Dr Rafidah Abdullah expressed her anger towards the man via her social media platforms. In a Twitter post, Rafidah says, “Jogging for 10km helps to get rid of Covid-19? NONSENSE!”

She then went on to explain why the man’s claims were nonsense. In her first point, she explains that as soon as you get a positive result from an RTK test, you must isolate yourself and quarantine.

“Why would you go outside for a 10km jog??? You want to pass the virus to others?”

“How can there be humans like this. In my opinion, he should just be captured,” stated Rafidah.

In her second point, Rafidah explained that if he were to get a PCR test, it would still show that he’s positive. “It doesn’t mean that it has disappeared and that you are healed and get out of quarantine.”

“It would be better to do more tests but a negative doesn’t mean that you really are,” she added.

Furthermore, she slammed him for going out to jog while being Covid positive.

“If you are infected with Covid-19, there is a risk of heart attack. You need to rest, keep hydrated and eat and drink healthily. Is that too much to ask? Not to go long distance running. Just be patient.”

KKM issues statement

Meanwhile, the issue even caught the attention of the Health Ministry which issued a comment regarding it. In a Facebook post, they stated, “For everyone’s information, if you are found to be positive for Covid-19 and have symptoms, please QUARANTINE yourself to prevent the spread of the virus.”
