When we were younger, we assumed that money laundering meant washing bank notes for the sake of cleanliness. Well, obviously when we grew older we found out what it really meant.

But, did you know that there are people who actually wash their money?

The Viral 25 and Berani Viral Facebook pages recently shared a video of canteen staff washing bank notes they received during their sales as money is actually dirty! Germaphobes who didn’t realise money carries dirt, you guys might want to look away.

Wash 1

They wrote, “Oh my, check out the residue for yourselves.”

In the video, the canteen staff can be seen washing the bank notes they received during their sales in a big basin of water.

Wash 2

As the money is being washed off, the water in the basin turned a brownish colour that you cannot see through, showcasing just how dirty money really is. After seeing this, we might actually start washing our money too.

Wash 3

The staff then wiped the wet money before placing it in a platter to dry off properly.

You can check out the video of the canteen staff washing their hard earned money here.
