Recently, Moo Deng, the famous baby pygmy hippo, waddled her way to an impressive win, taking home an award at the Thailand TikTok Awards.
Moo Deng wins the Video of the Year award
According to a user on X, Moo Deng’s keeper, father figure, and manager, P’Benz, accepted the Video of the Year award on her behalf at the Thailand TikTok Awards.
In a video shared via The Pattaya News, clips and pictures of baby Moo Deng were shown after the winner of the award was announced.
The official page for Moo Deng, @and_khamoo, also shared the exciting news on their X account, celebrating the hippo’s win and expressing gratitude for the award.
The bouncing pig
According to The Straits Times, Moo Deng, which translates to “bouncing pig” in Thai, has captured the hearts of millions on social media.
The director of Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Narungwit Chodchoy, shared that on average, on weekdays, they used to see about 800 visitors. However, since Moo Deng’s rise to fame, they’re now attracting between 3,000 and 4,000 visitors on weekdays.
Over the weekend, they welcomed an impressive 20,000 guests, with most of them eager to catch a glimpse of Moo Deng.
The adorable pink-cheeked hippo, Moo Deng, has two siblings named Pork Stew and Sweet Pork.
