A couple of months ago, Florence Pugh was spotted in the country and rumoured to be filming for a scene that involves a character jumping off Kuala Lumpur’s Merdeka 118 tower, the world’s second-highest building.
This has recently been confirmed as Marvel Studios have recently released behind-the-scenes footage from their upcoming film, Thunderbolts. Fans worldwide quickly recognised the familiar silhouette of Merdeka 118 gracing the screen.
The footage showcases Florence performing an adrenaline-pumping dive from the towering heights of Merdeka 118.
Reflecting on the experience, Florence herself was blown away by the stunt. She shared her excitement, saying:
“Out of all the incredible stunts from any film, this is one of the most astonishing. When else can you see someone throw themselves off a building like this? It’s insanely fun.”
The clip has since gone viral, with viewers expressing amazement over both the stunt and the stunning KL backdrop captured in the background.
With the imminent release of Thunderbolts, excitement is mounting not only for the film itself but also for Malaysia’s chance to shine on the international stage.
