During the past week, a freak accident involving a motorcyclist riding against the traffic and a Ducati Panigale rider shocked the Internet.
The Ducati crashed and fell over the side of a bridge on the SUKE highway after he had tried to avoid the motorcyclist riding against traffic.
Unfortunately, the Ducati rider passed away after falling 30 meters.
In the most recent update, the motorcyclist who went against traffic had turned himself in. According to the Ampang Jaya district chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail, the motorcyclist is a 41-year-old Malaysian who works as an F&B operator and lives in Kajang.
“Investigations show that the suspect was on his way home from Ampang but he got lost. So he made the decision to enter the SUKE highway while going against traffic.”
He continues, “Due to the collision, the suspect also fell from his motorcycle and after the accident, the suspect went home.”
It is said that the suspect only got to know of the case after watching the news and seeing it on social media, reported ASTRO AWANI.
The suspect also made a police report regarding the accident. After an examination of the suspect, it shows that he had sustained injuries to his shoulders and right leg and broken a finger.
The police have also seized the suspect’s motorcycle and a few other things concerning the case. They were unable to detain the suspect as he is injured and has a hard time moving.
Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail says that the next procedures will be taken when the suspect is in stable condition.
