Unable to afford a place to stay, a man resorted to living in a tree by the side of a road, in an undisclosed location in Malaysia, for over half a year.

Malaysian philanthropist Kuan Chee Heng, affectionately known as Uncle Kentang, took to his Facebook page to highlight the man’s living conditions.

In the post, the man’s belongings can be seen suspended in the branches of the tree where he has been sleeping.

Uncle Kentang shared:

“(This) man lives in a tree as he has no money to pay for a rental room. (He is) formerly a cushion maker. He has been sleeping in this tree for over a 6-month period. I spoke to him and asked him to look for a room.”

In his post, the displaced man demonstrated how he climbed to his sleeping spot in the tree, which was considerably high off the ground.

Due to the tree’s dense foliage, the man and his belongings were hidden from public view.

We genuinely hope that the man finds a safer place to reside. What would you have done if you were in the man’s shoes? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
