A man and an old woman in Sri Petaling were seen struggling to grab a discarded item, causing the latter to fall to the ground in the process.
The young man did not stop to check on the senior citizen but instead ran into his house with the “prize” in hand. Another woman was seen clapping her hands and dancing to celebrate the man’s “victory”.
In the viral CCTV footage that was shared on the Sri Petaling 大城堡 Facebook page, two individuals were seen carrying the used item to the garbage area to discard it. The man in the red T-shirt, who had been eyeing the prize slowly approached the item.
When he saw the aunty going for the same item, both of them started running towards the item.
The man made sure he got what he wanted, completely ignoring the consequences or the injury that the aunty could sustain from the struggle and the fall.
The other woman who rooted for the man jokingly said “there’s a party” and told him to “be quick” and immediately cheered when he successfully grabbed the item.
The defenceless senior citizen could only walk away in defeat while the other woman told her “not to take stuff belonging to others.”
The elderly aunty is known for feeding & neutering stray cats
Social media users were not happy to see the trio mistreating the senior citizen and those who know the aunty expressed their sympathy and highlighted her kindness, especially towards stray animals.
In a conversation with WORLD OF BUZZ, a resident from the area who wished to remain anonymous said the incident took place near the wet market. While she does not personally know the aunty, she has seen her around for a long time, and she also vouched for the aunty’s empathy towards animals.
According to the anonymous resident, the aunty’s routine is the same every day.
“She sells chicken every morning at the market, and she feeds stray cats at night. She never misses doing that.”
The resident also told WORLD OF BUZZ that sometimes, the aunty spends her money to neuter the stray cats.
“She often picks up the trash in the area at night.”
As for the man who allegedly runs a curry mee business with his family, the resident said she has never visited their stall or had any personal encounter with them.
Regardless, what do you think about this?
