Malaysia is known for its warm and welcoming people who value harmony and mutual respect. Despite its rough edges, the country is a melting pot of cultures, with Malays, Chinese, Indians, and various other groups living together in peace.
That brings us to the latest international rankings where Malaysia earned a spot among the Most Peaceful Countries, as shared by @rankingroyals.
We’re in 19th place and at peace!
Malaysia ranks 19th in the Global Peace Index with a score of 1.513. Close behind is Belgium at 20th place with a score of 1.523.
Iceland tops the rankings with an impressive score of 1.124, while Denmark follows in 2nd place with a score of 1.310, and Ireland comes in 3rd with a score of 1.312.

Global Peace Index provides thorough, data-driven analysis to date
Global Peace Index, produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), evaluates the peacefulness of 163 independent states and territories, representing 99.7% of the world’s population.
The Global Peace Index assesses the state of peace across three domains: the level of societal safety and security, the extent of ongoing domestic and international conflict, and the degree of militarisation.
“With 84 countries recorded improvements in peacefulness, 79 countries recorded deteriorations and the average level of global peacefulness deteriorated by 0.42%.”
