Global Peace Index provides thorough, data-driven analysis to date

Global Peace Index, produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), evaluates the peacefulness of 163 independent states and territories, representing 99.7% of the world’s population.

The Global Peace Index assesses the state of peace across three domains: the level of societal safety and security, the extent of ongoing domestic and international conflict, and the degree of militarisation.

“With 84 countries recorded improvements in peacefulness, 79 countries recorded deteriorations and the average level of global peacefulness deteriorated by 0.42%.”
