Following all the ruckus surrounding the non-Halal Nasi Kandar issue as well as the incident where a politician who decided to call out a non-Muslim Minister’s drinking habits, it appears that we Malaysians needs a little pick me up to remind of of just how unified we really are.
Well, we’ve got just the thing for you.
Aeon Mall Bukit Tinggi took to their TikTok page to showcase the difference between their male and female staff as they created a kolam as the mall’s Deepavali decoration.
They wrote, “The making of our Deepavali kolam decoration.
In the video, they tried to showcase and compare how their female staff had no patience and were chit chatting while they made their half of the kolam, while their male staff were focused and patient in ensuring their part was neat and nice.
“When ladies make kolam, (they) want to be fast, they panic and they laugh a lot. When men make a kolam, (they) are calm, patient and careful,” Aeon Mall Bukit Tinggi wrote.
Despite the hilarious comparison, many were more focused on the fact that Malay staff members were the ones making the kolam and praised them for their participation.
“The best, gang. A gorgeous kolam from out Muslim friends.”
“I thought our Indian friends were doing the decor, but it turns out our Malay friends are doing it. So pretty! This is the uniqueness of Malaysians.”
