So, by now everyone has heard about the controversy surrounding the non-Halal Nasi Kandar and Nasi Lemak stall in Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya, right?

Well, it looks like unhappy parties have escalated from condemning the stall for ‘insulting’ Nasi Kandar by serving it with pork, to review bombing the stall’s Google review page, which can very much affect the stall owner’s livelihood.

Netizen, D, took to her Twitter page to call out those who are swarming the stall’s Google page to leave the business bad reviews purely because they are unhappy that the stall is serving pork with Nasi Kandar. She also called for netizens to counter review bomb the Google page with positive reviews.

D wrote, “Apparently, thanks to this illiterate dumbf*ck, some people are review bombing this shop on Google with negative reviews. As a fellow good citizen, please review bomb this shop with POSITIVE REVIEWS so that these idiots don’t ruin someone’s business for ABSOLUTELY NO F*CKING REASON”.

Google reviews are important as many potential customers will decide whether or not to patron a business based on these reviews.

Hence, leaving bad reviews purely because a party is unhappy that the meal is non-Halal could potentially cause the business to lose out on non-Muslim customers who may not know the true story behind why there are bad reviews.

For those who know what’s going on, they have since purposefully planned to visit the stall and show their support by purchasing their food.

Luckily, many good Samaritans have also countered the negative review bombing with their positive reviews, leading to the non-Halal Nasi Kandar stall’s Google reviews to reach 4.9 stars.

It also looks like many of the bad reviews have since been removed from Google considering those reviews are purely because of the stall’s non-Halal status.
