No one likes to be stuck in traffic. It’s time-consuming and in some cases, it’s bad for your mental health. As if traffic is not bad enough, many drivers recently had no choice but to endure lane hoggers showing off their luxury cars.

The Facebook page Utama Motors recently posted a short clip showing multiple luxury cars hogging the entire highway on ALL 4 lanes at NKVE Highway, prompting the vehicles behind to slow down as the luxury car drivers took their sweet time. The clip was produced as marketing material for an upcoming supercar event – Adrenaline Rush Track Day 2023 at the Sepang International Circuit.

The event is expected to take place on 15 July, and it is known as the “largest supercars and sports cars parade”. If you look closely, 1 of the drivers was seen driving on the emergency lane, which is clearly an offense under the traffic law.

The initial caption of the post said,

“If you have a dream, give it a chance to happen.”

“An inspiration to drive big cars and hog the lanes”

The clip was shared on 1 July and it didn’t take long for the clip to go viral, which led to the dissatisfaction of many netizens who condemned the luxury car drivers for hogging all lanes and wasting the time of other road users.

A netizen rewrote the caption and said what he wanted, “not causing inconvenience to others and doing beneficial stuff”.

Another netizen casually tagged JPJ in the comment section, in the hope to get their attention.

At the time of writing (3 July), Utama Motors has yet to respond to the matter. JPJ and PDRM have also not responded to the viral clip, which you can watch below.

We believe some of the drivers behind may have the urge to just drive through the convoy but unfortunately, it would only cause more issues than solutions. Were you stuck in this traffic recently? And to lane hoggers, let’s be more considerate, shall we?
