Malaysians are indeed a lucky bunch during Covid-19, as we continuously show how much we want to stop the public from being infected with the coronavirus through the Movement Control Order (MCO) and the setting of quarantine centres for the homeless – just to name a few.
As further proof that we Malaysians do not take things lightly when it comes to caring for the less fortunate, our Ministry of Health has gone one up in their efforts to stop the spread by distributing meals to those that seek shelter in KL’s quarantine shelters to control movement and break the chain.
In a Tweet by Bahagian Pemakanan KKM, the Ministry of Health shared with the public, images of meal samples that are being handed out to Malaysians staying at quarantine centres around KL.
And my, my they do look appealing.
In their Tweet they write, “Malaysians are lucky. Here are samples of menu items prepared for those staying at quarantine centres. All the food items are under the purview of Nutritionists under the Ministry of Health.”
In its thread, they add, “All food items are well-balanced and nutritious taking into account daily calory intake.”
Taking a swipe at what other countries are doing in their quarantine centres, “This may not be what you get if you are quarantined elsewhere.”
Naughty, naughty.
Getting more than 3.4k retweets, Malaysians, in general, appreciate the effort of the government to ease MCO as much as they can.
Let’s pray for the speedy recovery of those quarantined for Covid-19 and let’s help them keep their hopes up by doing all we can to motivate them through these trying times.
