Covid-19 cases in Malaysia have officially skyrocketed to 673 cases, as 120 new patients tested positive for the coronavirus today.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) took to their official Twitter page to announce the bad news.

They wrote, “LATEST: 17th of March, 2020. 120 new cases have been reported in Malaysia, bringing the total cases to 673. 95 of these new cases are involved with the Tabligh gathering in Sri Petaling. Meanwhile, 7 other patients have healed, bringing healed cases to 49.”

With 2 deaths already reported in Malaysia, let’s hope that the Movement Control Order called for by prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will help contain the virus and prevent it from spreading any further than it already has.
