The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is ranked first out of 355 airports listed in the Global Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Performance Rankings.
Based on a report by BERNAMA, the ‘ASQ Departures Passenger Satisfaction Report: KUL Benchmark Performance’ Q3 2024 analysis by the Airports Council International (ACI) stated that KLIA achieved a perfect score of 5.00 on a scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent).
KLIA’s performance also outperformed the overall satisfaction score for the Global ASQ Average, which is 4.32.
KLIA scored 5.00 in several categories, outperforming the Customs Panel Average of 4.88, the Asia-Pacific Average of 4.77, and the overall satisfaction score for the average airport handling more than 40 million passengers annually, which is 4.42.
It also ranked first for Customs Panel Average (first out of 20 airports), Asia-Pacific Average (first out of 100 airports), and Average of Over 40 Million Passengers (first out of 41 airports).
For overall experience, KLIA also maintained a perfect score of 5.00.
The survey, which was conducted between July 1 to September 12 of this year, covered responses from 352 passengers aged 16 years old and above.
Overall, 355 airports participated in the ‘ASQ Departures Main Programme’ in the third quarter of 2024.
