While there’s been a waiver placed on compound fines for certain MCO violations such as not wearing your mask in public or failing to check-in via MySejahtera, taking part in other prohibited activities will still result in individuals being fined RM10,000.

The Ministry of Health (KKM) recently took to Twitter to announce that individuals who go to nightclubs or pubs will be faced with the maximum compound fine of RM10,000. Meanwhile, the management of these premises will be fined RM50,000.

According to KKM, “these three offences are under Act 342.” However, the decision to lower the compound fine will be considered for OKU individuals, students, B40 individuals and those who are facing chronic illnesses. A 50% discount will be given to those who settle their compound fees within a week from the date that the fine was issued.

Stay tuned for more updates!
